"I decided for my husband's 40th birthday to paint an icon of St.Nicholas. It was an incredible experience and Beata really took the time to teach me how to reach this goal and help me realize a project I thought I could never do - I have no painting experience at all! Between the mixing of colorful pigments with egg yolk, trying to place the 24 carat gold leaf on the icon with the cream on my hand and forehead and working on every millimeter of the wooded surface with several paint brushes at a time, it was a unique experince which required a lot of time and patience. The result was impressive and the reaction on my husband's face was priceless.
